I just wanted to share my gratitude to Darin and Chris for all their help with my border collie, Kiara. Ever since she was a puppy, she had always been very skittish and insecure when she was around anyone other than me. Kiara was especially uncomfortable around all men, including my husband! His job requires him to work out of town regularly. Each time he would return home, she would instantly begin to bark and growl, then run to hide from him. She would act as if she had never seen him before! At times, she would even urinate herself out of shear terror of having to be near him or anyone other than me, alone. She was totally antisocial around others and seemed to get worse with each passing day. A few people started referring to her as “Theresa’s crazy dog!” This was so frustrating because I knew what a sweetheart she was when it was just the two of us together.

I was almost ready to give up and just force myself to accept the fact that Kiara was always going to be this way. That’s when I heard about Sit Means Sit and the amazing results Darin and Chris were achieving with problem pets. I took Kiara to them and began to notice a drastic change in her behavior, almost immediately. She was so much more at ease around everyone she came in contact with! It was amazing!

We constantly have people in and out of our home for one reason or another. Whereas before this would always lead to chaos, these days it is a much different story! We still work with Kiara every day to reinforce the positive things she has learned. More importantly, I am learning how to keep her progress moving forward through the training classes that we take together each week. Kiara is a comfortable member of the family now and is a pleasure to be around, no matter who else might be in the room! All the credit for this goes to Darin and Chris at Sit Means Sit.

You guys truly are dog whisperers!

I wanted to send a follow up email to let you know how Beau has progressed since his board and train sessions with you guys. If you recall Beau was the Rottweiler that was just under a year old when we brought him to you around Thanksgiving of last year (It was Cindy, daughter Olivia and myself.

The transformation has been unbelievable. I rarely walk him with a leash and when I do it is because he is so big and menacing looking that I want people to feel at ease as we pass. I have some video’s of him; with the most telling being my 3 1/2 year old daughter, Olivia, walking Beau around our neighborhood on leash. She jogs, turns, runs plays and he maintains a heal the entire time. She gives the heal command, sit command…all of the time he obeys with out question.

The most impressive part: This is a 35 pound child commanding a 140 pound Rottweiler. He has not lost 1 ounce of his lovable and playful nature and training has allowed him to become closer to our family (we don’t travel without him.) As I type this I am in my office with big Beau laying under my feel. I took your advice and continued to be patient, firm and consistent with the training and my wife did the same (to a lesser extent, it is her nature to be less militant with the training.)

There is not a day that goes by that I do not marvel at his obedience and loyalty. I took him to the dog park yesterday and as he was playing a dog fight broke out. All it took was a command and he had left the pile of fighting dogs and was sitting at my feet watching the other dogs attack one another. The other owners looked at him in amazement.

Good job guys. Thank you for your help. Feel free to pass this along to anyone who is on the fence about the training or wants a referral. I hope people realize that the collar, commands and training make a better dog, not a defeated one.

Another great experience with SMS. We have used Sit means Sit twice now. It was 8 years apart but still great service, great trainers and a well mannered dog in the end. We had a high strung puppy that was terrorizing my older dog and also my youngest daughter.

We started out with the puppy group class to get the basics of having a puppy in the house again. It was a great overview and foundation to start from. But it wasn’t enough for little Sophie so we signed her up for the 15 day board and train. It was wonderful. Gemma and her staff treated Sophie like she was their own. They sent photos and videos to show her progress along the way.

When we picked her up I was amazed out how well behaved this puppy was. She knows so many commands and is no longer terrorizing the family. We still train with her a few times a day to keep building on this foundation and she is doing so great. Thanks to the team for taking care of Sophie and training a well mannered, happy dog.

Even before Malley was born I knew what I was looking for. We knew we had very specific goals in mind for her. I started calling and talking to many different training facilities to which one would fit our needs. Sit Means Sit has been amazing for my Malley!!! She started with them when she turned a little over 4 months. She did the Board and Train option. The staff walked me through the entire process. They made sure that I received my daily updates and pictures. Those in particularly meant the world to me! I looked forward to seeing her everyday and hearing how her day had went! On the day of pick up she was bathed and looked so beautiful. She had also learned so much sit , come, and stay are just to name a few. Those may sound so simple but when she left me a few days prior those words didn’t register with her at all. Now all the commands have meaning and she knows how to do them when asked. If I have any questions it’s never an issue to call or message any of the girls we dealt with for help. They are there with informative and positive feedback on how we can make whatever isn’t working or doesn’t feel right go in the other direction. We have also went back in for our check in class and worked through a few kinks with great success. I am so thankful we chose Sit Means Sit for our training! I look forward to continuing her training with them in the future as she grows and we work towards our goals! Thank you Sit Means Sit!!!

So grateful for Talia, Jade, Peyton and the entire team at Sit Means Sit. We have had Lori back for a couple of weeks, and the transformation has been amazing. Her behavior has improved dramatically: she listens much better and is a joy to take on walks with her new leash manners. She has previously shown some aggression toward our other dog, and now we can tell that she calms down more quickly and it’s easier to set her up for success in her interactions with him. The trainers were amazing not only with her, but also making sure my husband and I felt comfortable in all the commands before we went home. When we left, I could tell that they were very kind to her and took excellent care of her during the course of her stay because of the love and affection she showed to them before we left. We wanted to find a way to correct her bad behavior while allowing her to maintain her very sweet personality. The trainers at Sit Means Sit have accomplished this and we are so grateful for the incredible job they did. Thank you!

Our year-old Doberman was a pretty good girl but she lacked confidence. She didn’t like strangers and would lunge at them when they turned their backs. We knew that if this behavior continued, we’d end up having a serious bite situation on our hands. We also struggled with recall and getting her to heel properly on a leash. We didn’t have the right knowledge to teach her these things nor how to deal with her fear so we sought out help from a professional team of trainers. The training team at Sit Means Sit evaluated our Doberman and recommended a 15-day intensive training program for her. It was the best decision we made. She is still the same crazy, sweet Doberman we love but she knows how to heel. She comes when she’s called. And we are working on building her confidence. We know how to do that now. It’s going to take some time but she’s already a lot better than she was when she first went in! Jared was our evaluator. Throughout the entire process he was available for questions. I could text him anytime and he was always friendly and got me the information I needed. Our trainers were Marta and Peyton. They did a fabulous job training Maple. They also helped us learn how to continue the training at home. I’m really glad we chose to use Sit Means Sit. They’re a great team there and they care about taking care of your pets.

I am so impressed with Sit Means Sit. My morkie, Frankie, did the immersion training July 2019. He went back this past weekend for some training help with separation anxiety since I’ve been working from home for over a year now. Holy moly, did they deliver. He is doing all of his commands quicker and an overall more confident dog with other dogs and people. His crate time is getting better as well. They truly care about the pets that stay with them. Frankie recently had to go to vet ER after eating a treat that upset him and they checked in to make sure all was okay. This is the only place I will board him in Atlanta – whether we are 30 minutes away or an hour. I trust them with my Frankie.

We highly recommend the immersion training! Our sweet lab Shula has learned so much and is behaving like never before. I truly appreciate the communication that came directly from the trainers each day. It gave us such comfort knowing he was in good hands. We are so pleased that we made the choice to use Sit Means Sit

10/10 would recommend ! We have an almost 2 yr old German Shepherd and she had little to no training. They boarded her for about 2 and a half weeks and we picked her up today, BRAND NEW DOG . She listens, responds and reacts. They are amazing and I know they took great care of her. She was so happy to be reunited and still showed out on arrival by sticking to her training. Awesome place, awesome people , well worth the money spent!

I am a returning customer to SMS. About 5 years ago, my dog Maggie had become so aggressive towards other dogs, even her own housemate dog, that something had to be done. I enrolled her in SMS’s immersion program. It worked wonders and her aggression became manageable. Maggie has since crossed over the rainbow bridge, and I have recently adopted Meadow, a 3-year old boxer mix.

I decided that the first thing Meadow & I needed to do was enroll in SMS so they could get us started with good manners & behavior habits. We did the 3 session day training program. Pre training, i had leash burns on my hands from all the jerking and pulling. Now, just 3 weeks later, she is an absolute joy to walk. We are now enjoying group classes. In group, with the guidance of SMS’s patient & knowledgeable trainers, you gain confidence and it’s a great way to spend quality time with your dog. SMS is not cheap, but they are worth every penny.
